If a student doesn’t currently meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment in a TXVSN full-time online school because they were not enrolled in a Texas public school in the preceding* school year, can the student become eligible in the future?

Yes. A student is still eligible to enroll in a traditional, brick and mortar Texas public school district or charter school serving their area, or, may enroll in one of the two TEA-accredited, tuition-based online schools: Texas Tech University K-12 or The University of Texas at Austin UT High School. Through this enrollment, the student can become eligible to enroll in an online school in the following school year per the enrollment schedule of the TXVSN online school.

*A school year in Texas is comprised of a fall semester, followed by a spring semester, followed by a summer session.
